GAMEPLAY:
Tengu Fencer:
- The Guard bar regenerates more slowly and starts regenerating later.
- On Easy Difficulty, Tengu Fencers no longer parry player attacks. Instead, they use their Spin Attack when a player uses too many identical attacks in a row.
- Added small pause before their running double attack
- To make fighting them more dynamic, slightly lowered the number of hits they can take while their guard is broken before they launch a counterattack
Knockdown:
- The player takes dramatically lowered damage when hit during knockdown animation.
USABILITY:
- Added a tutorial prompt in Tengu Fencer mini-boss fight explaining how Tengu Fencers parry mechanic works
- Added extra tutorial screen explaining Style Multiplayer and Style Tokens on Level 1
- Changed the Join keybind from Tab to Insert
BUGFIXES:
- Fixed the tutorial splash screen that appeared empty for some players during the first Essence Extractor fight
- Fixed an automatic fail that happened after failing and restarting the second Essence Extractor fight
- Fixed a bug that disallowed reenabling AA settings
- Fixed an infinite loop that occurred then players failed to enable/disable Fullscreen
GRAPHICS:
- Added more detailed loading screen art
- Fixed wonky footstep colliders on level 7
- Added more background critters to levels 03 and 06

- Bugfixes with resolution change, and windowed mode.
USABILITY:
- Added an alternative control scheme that utilizes face buttons instead of stick movements.

GAMEPLAY:
- Rebalanced easy and normal difficulty levels, eliminating difficulty spikes and lowering their overall difficulty
- Added invulnerability to player knockdowns to prevent juggling
- Added air recovery to knockdowns – well-timed jump can cancel the knockdown animation
- Increased dash cancel and guard cancel windows of many moves, making it overall easier to cancel moves and increasing responsiveness
- Lowered dash cooldown
- Getting hit no longer depletes the Super Combo bar
- Modified enemy AI to prevent crowding around knocked down players and reduced aggression of certain enemy types on easy and normal difficulty modes

GAMEPLAY BALANCE CHANGES:
- Changes in enemies AI (enemies do not attack, stay frozen in one place and many more).
- Added online multiplayer component to the game, including inviting online players to your party and an online party browser.
- Redesigned Downward Momentum Attack (instead of a tripping attack and a downward smash, now it’s a quick downwards smash that creates a small explosion that breaks shields)
- Changed Player 3’s color from red to green to improve readability
- Added additional attack prompts to the first phase of the final boss
- Fixed electric oni midget's AI so it doesn’t get stuck when taunted
- Fixed a bug that reduced Momentum Attacks damage when attacking the final phase of the final boss when its guard was broken
- Rebalanced Style Score gains in multiple bosses so they’re easier to master
- Added more detailed information to the post-level summary
- Made the Momentum Attacks tutorial fight slightly easier
- Minor bugfixes
To be honest, we don't have much more to say - while there are also some minor bugfixes, the most important change is the introduction of the aforementioned multiplayer mode. It has been in beta for some time now, you helped us to test it and now it's finally live for all owners of the game.
